10 Weeks & 3 Days

It seems so far but so soon all at the same time. Our little angel will be making is appearance in about that time frame and I can NOT wait to see his beautiful face. This past week I was able to see him in 3D which was absolutely amazing! I think he looks like John but I guess we wont know until he gets here. His nursery is complete, all I need to get is his name put up but I cant figure out where to put it or what type of letters to get. We are very blessed that our family has helped us in so many ways I cant even express how thankful I am to them. Bentley is doing great, I don't know if he knows what is coming but I'm hoping and praying that he will be a great big brother to Crosby. Right now I'm working full time and I have to say it is getting hard. Not that I have an extremely hard job but it is hard not being able to take a nap during the day. I come home exhausted at night and cant sleep because I'm so uncomfortable but I keep saying to myself that this is for Crosby. I'm able to have money for our little one while I'm out. My dream would be to not have to work when he gets here but I think it will be too hard. John has been on a few job interviews that pay more but we will see how that goes. I do thank God that I am able to work because there are so many pregnant women who cant so I try to look at the bright side.

So What Wednesday...

Wow it's been awhile since I've done this! So what if..

- I was craving a McDonald's cheeseburger and fries yesterday and had to cave in! It was AMAZING by the way!

- Bentley hasn't gotten groomed in awhile. His poor hair is out of control!

- We haven't started on Crosby's nursery yet. Johns Fam is coming down from PA and they need some where to sleep!

- I'm so excited my sis is going to watch Crosby so that I am able to go back to work. I would LOVE to be a sahm but I don't think we could ever afford it!

- I'm so happy my bangs are growing out!!! Why did I cut them in the first place!!

Where did you come up with Crosby??

Ok so it's not a "normal" name. It does have some uniqueness too it, that could be a reason why I like it so much. My husband is a HUGE Pittsburgh Penguin fan and if you know anything about hockey you know that Sydney Crosby is their captain a a very good player for them. We decided years ago that if we had a boy Crosby was going to be his name. I know how much it means to my husband for his little man to be named after something hockey related. I've had some mixed reviews on the name, some love it, some hate it but we love it, and that is all that matters :)

Life...

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks. I feel like my brain is consumed with baby,baby,baby and I LOVE IT! I'm so blessed to be carrying this little guy :) Much more to come this week...what I have bought so far for Crosby, how we came up with his name, and more baby things!

To my baby Crosby,
 My angel from above. I have not even seen your beautiful face but I love you so deeply you have no idea. You mean the world to me and are now the main thought in my mind at all times. Your mommy and daddy love you so so much. You are bringing a new meaning to our life's. It's not just about us anymore it's all about YOU! I know you will love your family when you get here, each one of us are anxiously awaiting your arrival. Your Shu Shu, my mommy is very very excited about you! She has already bought so many outfits for you! You at going to be so stylish!! Your Grandpa Wally can't wait to hold you and give you lots and lots of kisses. As I'm sitting here in the Enterprise office I just felt your little kicks!! I will finish this letter when I can leave here... I have so much to tell you!!!

New Years...

Well I'm 4 days late in making my resolutions but at least I'm attempting. I've never really made a list of things I want to change about myself when the new year comes around but I think this year will be different.

Give my husband more kisses. Worry less. Love more. Stop being so competitive. Cook better meals. Enjoy the sun. Cherish time with my family. Be the best mom I can be BUT do not put to much pressure on myself for that. Go to the beach more. Relax. Take walks at night. Learn to love myself, faults and all. Light my candles. Give Bentley more baths. Stop obsessing over money. Put the phone down. Take time for myself. Have more date nights (home or not). Get over my past mistakes. Take more pictures when Crosby arrives. Not taking any moment of Crosby being little for granted because I know how fast it goes. Stop caring about others opinions. BLOG MORE.

We have decided on the name Crosby. Crosby was the first name my husband and I chose because of my hubbys obsession with the Pittsburgh Penguins and the captain of the team is Sydney Crosby. It is different yet not too much. We have had lots of opinions, good and bad but know that this is the perfect name for out little boy. Only a few more months until he is in our arms!

I know its been awhile but...

I'm PREGNANT!!!! We are so happy, so thrilled at this little one growing inside of me! My whole life is about to change and I cant wait to hold my little baby in my arms. Right now I'm about 12 weeks along and am due on May 13, 2013. I'm promising myself that I'm going to be blogging more just so that I have something to look back on during this wonderful time. I'm the type of person who has always been so dedicated to my job and have identified with what I do for a living but for the first time in my life all I want to be is a mom...nothing more, nothing less. I'm nervous too because I have never been around babies and have never even changed a diaper!! I may need to ask some other blog mommas for some advice!! Here is the picture I used to announce on facebook...ya know to make it real official lol!!

I miss you and Laguna so much!!! Dear Hobby Lobby, Thank you for having out your Thanksgiving and Christmas Decor a wee bit early because it reminded me of how much I LOVE that time of year. I saw something on Bravo last night and I thought it was such a great idea! It was a show called "The 10 Things That Make Me Happy". Kyle Richards was on and it really showed such a cute side of her! I started thinking about the 10 things that make me happy and tried to narrow it down to 10. Of course my family makes me happy but that is a given! 10) Angel Wings

These are a new addition to our home that my parents bought me for my Birthday.My family kind of has a thing with angel wings. My mom, nane, and I have the same wings tattooed on our backs. These wings really are amazing and they remind me that angels are always watching over our home. I love how vintagy (not sure if thats a word...oh well) they look. I tried to find a link for them but couldn't. I know they were purchased at Francesca's Collections. )

9) Tervis Tumbler

This may be a weird one but this is something you never see me without. I always have it filled it ice cold water and its by my side usually at all times. I actually purchased one for my sister in law but had to buy one for myself too because of how cute it is!

Dear Today Show, I'm SO mad how you gave Ann the boot! I really liked her and thought she was such a beautiful inteligant women. Very sad to see her go. Dear Family, You really mad my birthday a great one. It really is crazy to realize how many wonderful people I have around me. Dear Coworkers, I DO NOT WANT TO GO OUT TO BARS WITH YOU!!!!!!!!! I'M MARRIED AND LOVE MY HOMEBODY LIFE!!!!!!! Dear Husband, Thank you for my Flowerbomb :) You know exactly what I love. Dear 25, so 24 was a pretty amazing year with getting married and buying a beautiful house, so you better have some great things in store for me! I'm excitied to get you started!

So What Wednesdays

This week I'm saying SO WHAT to...

• Watching "Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding" and all the "Housewives" over and over and over. I just can't get enough of all of them!
• Being EXTATIC about Laguna Beach Reruns being back on TV!!!!! OMG SOOOOO EXCITING!!! I loved watching Kristen and Lauren fight over Stephen! I'm telling ya, MTV just doesnt make shows like that anymore!
• Dyeing my hair back dark because I'm too lazy/cheap to keep putting blonde into it. The blonde was nice and different but I feel like myself when my hair is darker AND my roots were gross.
• Wishing Summer was over even though it just started. Here is South Florida it is H O T. I'm so ready to throw on my boots and a sweater!
• Sometimes wishing I lived in a different place. Most people would DIE to live 5 min from the beach BUT i've been here most of my life and sometimes I wish for something new and exciting.

Thankful Tuesday

I'm a complainer and a worrier. There I admit it. I take for granted some of lives blessings and sometimes I need to stop and remind myself of all that I have. God really has blessed me and my family and maybe when I write this this stuff on here it will be more aware of my blessings.

Today I'm thankful for..

• My husband. Last night I was having such a hard time getting to sleep and he was breathing very heavy in his sleep. It wasn't exactly a snore but it was definitely as annoying. As I was about to kick him to wake him up, I thought about how hard he works and how tired he must be. I got up and watched TV on the couch so I wouldn't wake him up. I know...I'm such an amazing and kind wife. lol
• Turning 25 on Thursday! I can't believe that I'm actually that old now! I can't wait to see what this year has to bring me!
• My family, I live about 20 min from my family and sometimes I want to scream and run away but to be honest, I'm not sure I would actually be happy without them by my side. I love them so much and wouldn't know what to do if they were not close.
• Bentley..my little boy, gosh I love him so much. I'm so thankful for his snugly ways and wet kisses. He makes everyday a good one.
• Last but not least my job. I know, I can NOT believe this is included in this list but without my job I would not be able to pay my bills and live in our beautiful house. Yes, its annoying, Yes, I have to work EVERY Holiday and get out usually around 8:30 at night BUT it does provide funds for my life. Yes I guess I''m thankful for it.

Weekend Recap

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I worked all weekend but still got in some fun with the fam! Friday night was a late night at work so we had a nice date with the couch. Saturday we went out to dinner with my parents and I had one too many margaritas! Sunday was a short day at work so I came home and got to spend some time with John, Bentley, and Lifetime. We decided to go get something to eat and had some Greek food, which was kind of gross but oh well. Here are some pics I snapped this weekend.

This is the beginning of the BEST week of the year right behind Christmas....MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!!!!!!!! I checked out bank account and John ordered something from Overstock so not sure what the HECK that is but I'm very excited!! My Nane (grandma in Italian) made 3 POUNDS of LASAGNA for Thursday night (my birthday) for my whole fam to enjoy so that should be fun and not diet friendly! I'm going to live the last few days of being 24 up....and by living it up that means lots of wine and nutella spread on graham crackers. Yes, I know I'm a party animal!!!!!

Dear Hair, I'm SO tired of you. I'm really ready for a change! I know I have put n some highlights but yout are just dragging me down! Dear Blog, I'm really starting to like you. Its nice to have a journal again. Dear John, I'm so sorry our alarm didn't go off this morning, but wasent it nice to sleep in a litte? Dear MBA, I'm coming for YOU! I'm so excited to have my application done! Now I just have to get my funding secured and we can begin! Dear Little Sissy, so excited for your first mini-vacation with your boyfriend. I'm going to miss you but I can't tell you because I want you to have a good time!

SO WHAT WEDNESDAYS!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT to...

• I HATE putting the dishes away after the dishwasher is finished. That is why I STUFF the dishwasher to the max which drives my husband NUTS!!! Oh...and rinsing them before going in there?!?!?! What the heck is the point of the dishwasher!!!
• Needing a new summer wardrobe. I have to wear a uniform to work so when I'm not stuck in that horrible thing I need some nice summery clothes to enjoy the summer in!
• LOVING that when I get out of work at 8:30pm it is still light out! I can come home and enjoy our patio in the light!
• Watching the Today show everyday. When I lived at home my mom and I would wake up at 7AM every morning and watch it together so I guess its just habit now.
• Starting to get excited about my birthday next week!! Here I come 25!

Proverb 3:5...What it means to me

When my husband and I first started dating we went on a weekend getaway to Key West. We knew each other pretty well because we had worked together for almost a year by that time but still were in the beginning of the dating phase. At that point in time I did not think him and I were going to be more than just a casual dating thing that would fizzle out in the next few months. I did not want to allow myself to fall so deep because of the previous mistakes I had made that year. Walking around a shop in the Keys I spotted a lighthouse with this proverb written on it. John saw it and we both instantly had a connection to it. He told me that when he was going through a rough patch when he was younger he said this is what had got him through them. I connected to it because I felt that this was exactly what I needed to show me that everything was going to be OK in my life and that God was going to direct my way. We had an amazing weekend and on our drive home I was slowly realizing that this was not just another guy in my life. He meant so much more then that and we connected on such a deep level. Flash forward around 1 year after our Keys adventure this was being read by my sister in law before our wedding dinner. These words are so powerful and when I read them I feel a sense of relief that everything that is happening is not in my hands, its in the Lords. As I sit here wondering when I will become pregnant and why it isn't happening to us right now I read these beautiful set of words and take a deep breathe and realize that the Lord will direct our path.

Current Obsessions

1) Don't Be Tardy For The Wedding...OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I never liked Kim before but now she is my FAVE! I love her and Kroy and I may or may not have tried to convince my hubby that we should move to Atlanta. OK, so Kim is not the best role model...I get that BUT I think she is real person and does not care about what ANYONE thinks about her. I hope she gets another spin off show of her own which I bet will happen soon

2) OK so I don't really enjoy working out AT ALL but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do I guess. I was getting so bored of the treadmill so I decided to order some Jillian Michael's DVDs because she always knows how to kick a booty into shape. I recommend "Yoga Meltdown", " 6 Pack Abs", & "Ripped In 30".

3) Juicing, I have been juicing almost every day for the past few weeks and it feels GOOD! I usually juice spinach, celery, blueberries, flax seed, 1 banana, and coconut mile. It may not sound yummy but it really is not that bad and makes you feel so good inside! Try it for a week and you will feel the difference.

4) Neon Colors are my FAVE right now! I LOVE them for my nails but have yet to buy any neon clothes yet. I def think its time. I think it gives an outfit such a cute POP of color!

5) John Mayer "Shadow Days". Not so sure what happened to my man John Mayers looks this past year but his music is still my fave. I have been in love with him since 16 years old and always knew I would marry a guy named John (not true but I tell my hubby that). His lyrics explain EXACTLY what I'm feeling at any given second and its like he knows what I'm going through in my life. This album explains growing up and changing and learning from the past. Def check it out!

Dear Bentley- Thank you for being the best snuggler around and I love hearing you crunch your food. My sweet angel.
Dear Work- hopefully I have a new job next week, I'm so nervous about putting my 2 weeks notice in though! I hate disappointing people!
Dear John - Your an amazing hubby and even though I interrupt you when your talking, don't put the dishes in the dishwasher rinsed off, keep the refrig open when I'm in the kitchen and all the other things you don't think I listen to when you speak about, just so you know I DO listen I just choose to keep annoying you! I love you so much though and you DO know that!! Oh and hopefully next Fathers Day we can celebrate YOU!

Instagraming Thursdays

Is that even a word? Not sure but I tend to make my own vocab. SIDE NOTE - My husband was the ONLY person to EVER call me out on saying the word SUPPOSIDLY like this: SUPPOISBLY. True love I tell ya! Anywho, I do love me some Instagram and think its so cool that normal not creative peeps like myself look like a full on photog! Here are some of my pics from the week. So Monday I went to the dentist. I havent went in a while (bad girl) so it was pretty rough taking new x-rays and such. Sitting in the chair I snapped this while the dentist was blah blahing about how I need to floss more. Oh my handsome hubby...how sweet you look so snuggled on the couch. No one would ever guess just a few hours earlier I was screaming at you because you powerwashed our front door the day before and as I tried to lock the door my key became JAMMED!! I had sweat beads dripping from my forehead trying to unlodge my key. Not a good sight. Last but OF COURSE not least.... Mr. Bentley John waking up from his slumber. Usually John wakes up at around 5:00 AM to go to work and Bentley knows its HIS time to get into bed. He cant wait to kick his daddy out of bed!! There you have it....I know what your thinking "Brittany you lead SUCH an exciting boring life!!!" Well, no worries there is so much more where that came from!! LOL Have a good Thursday!!!!
